In this privacy statement we explain, among other things, the purpose(es) for which we collect and use your personal data. You can read below how and why we process personal data of (potential) customers, users, suppliers, contractors and customers who make purchases at Buisklem and use the website. We also indicate how long we keep your personal data.
For (potential) customers of Buisklem
If you have provided us with your personal data for a (possible) supplier-customer relation, we will use your personal data to inform you about our sales conditions. This processing is necessary to enable you to place an order.
Of course we only use your data for necessary aspects of the supplier-customer relationship and additionally to inform you on current affairs regarding commercial matters.
We regard the relationship between Buisklem and natural persons, such as sole traders, as an agreement within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). In the case of companies, the processing of data of persons working here is necessary for our legitimate interest, namely to be able to perform the regular activities.
If you ultimately decide not to become a customer, we will delete your personal data upon request. All personal data that we collect for and use in the execution of deliveries, we keep until the customer requests removal.
The same conditions apply to customers who contact Buisklem by telephone or e-mail for technical support and thereby leave their e-mail address or telephone number.
We use your personal data to answer your technical questions. We only use this information for providing you with technical support. This data can always be deleted on request.
Outsourcing to third parties
For some deliveries, we outsource work to third parties, forcing us to provide specific customer data to our suppliers. We have a legitimate interest in this transfer, namely the interest in outsourcing certain activities to third parties.
Buisklem periodically sends out a newsletter to customers and relations who have become a customer or who have subscribed for the newsletter. In our newsletters we make you aware of any current events and matters and services that may be of interest to you.
The mailings can have commercial content. When we send you such a mailing, you always have the option to let us know that you no longer want to receive our newsletter. You always have the option to unsubscribe at the bottom of the e-mail.
To send our newsletters, we use a newsletter mailing service in the US. The personal data required to send you the newsletter is placed in the system that’s hosted in the US. We have a legitimate interest in placing your data locally, namely the importance of being able to outsource certain activities to third parties. The protection of your personal data is guaranteed because the newsletter mailing service has a privacy shield certificate.
For suppliers and contractors
We collect and use the personal data that suppliers or contractors provide to us because this is necessary to be able to conclude and execute a possible agreement with our customers. The use of data from (potential) suppliers or other contractors is necessary for the conclusion and execution of an agreement.
We keep the personal data of suppliers and contractors until the supplier or client requests the removal of the data.
For visitors to our website
Functional and analytical cookies
We place functional cookies in the first place. We do this to ensure that the use of our website functions properly. Examples are functionalities like remembering your login details during your visit.
With the help of analytical cookies we can see which pages are visited and what is clicked on within our website. For this we use Google Analytics. Buisklem has set the cookies of Google Analytics in a privacy-friendly manner according to the manual conform the Dutch Data Protection Authority’s standards. This means, among other things, that the last three digits of your IP address are protected.
For other relationships
We only collect and use personal data that other relationships provide to us because this is necessary for the protection of our legitimate interests. If you have any kind of relationship with us, we will use your information to contact you for purposes that are in the interest of Buisklem. You can think of discussing a possible collaboration, providing and obtaining information and maintaining our network.
We keep the personal data of other relationships until request of removal.
For all people whose personal data we process
We use the services of Microsoft (including Windows and Office365 and the associated applications and storage options for e-mails and other files). This storage capacity is located in the Netherlands. Our website and e-mail are hosted by an external party. For that reason, the personal data in our systems are also accessible to these parties.
You are not required to provide your personal information to Buisklem. However, if you do not provide us with or provide sufficient personal information, we may not be able to perform the work and services referred to in this privacy statement. Provision of this data is therefore necessary in most cases to be able to carry out our activities or services.
You have the right to ask us to have a look into your own personal data at any time. If there is reason to do so, you can also request us to supplement your personal data or to change inaccuracies.
In addition, you have the right to request to delete your personal data or to limit the use of your personal data. You can also object to the collection and use of your data or submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
